Antenna Connector
The GSM/GPRS SA-G+ operates at the 850/900/1800/1900 MHz frequency bands. The CDMA version operates at
the 800/1900 MHz frequency bands. The HSDPA version operates at the 850/1900 MHz for NA and 900/2100
MHz for ROW. The GPRS/EDGE version operates at the 850/1900 MHz for NA and 900/1800 MHz for ROW. A
compatible antenna must be supplied by the user to support their installation. The antenna must have a nominal
impedance of 50 Ohms. The VSWR must be less than 2.0:1. System antenna gain should be 0-3 dB for optimum
performance.
The antenna connector on the SA-G+ modem is SMA Female. The antenna has to be connected to the connector
as shown in the figure below. Care needs to be taken when connecting the antenna to ensure proper operation of
the modem. Optionally, a compatible antenna can be purchased through Novatel Wireless M2M. Refer to the
Technical Specifications section for part numbers.
