7.8 RS-422 Compatibility
Optira Series Encoders are RS-
422 compatible. Encoder signals are “sending end terminated”
and customer receiving terminations are not required.

The LED on the sensor does not light.

Confirm power connection is correct.
•
Confirm sensor configuration.
The LED on the sensor displays
steady red.
•
Confirm sensor alignment.
•
Confirm scale cleanliness.
Calibration procedure won’t initiate.
•
Check sensor configuration for LSB.
•
Check connection between Connector and Calibration
board and the sensor.
Calibration procedure won’t complete.
•
Check alignment for Index detection.
