Connectors and Pin Assignments
This appendix describes the BayStack 410-24T switch port connectors and pin
assignments.
RJ-45 (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX) Port Connectors
The RJ-45 port connectors (
Figure D-1
) are wired as MDI-X ports to connect end
stations without using crossover cables. (See
“MDI and MDI-X Devices
” on
page D-2
for information about MDI-X ports.)
For 10BASE-T connections, use Category 3 (or higher) UTP cable. When using
10BASE-T/100BASE-TX MDAs, use only Category 5 UTP cable.
