Device Configuration
You can set the Wireless Network Adapter to work in either “infrastructure” mode
or “ad hoc” mode.
Infrastructure Mode
In infrastructure mode, devices communicate with each other by first going
through an Access Point (AP). Wireless devices can communicate with each other
or can communicate with a wired network
(Figure 37) . When one AP is connected
to a wired network and a set of wireless stations, it is referred to as a BSS (Basic
Service Set).
