TEREO VOLUME CONTROL
& SPEAKER WIRING
Each stereo speaker pair is connected to the MC960PA amplifi er through
a Model SVC96 Stereo Volume Control. MS5X5SC cable connects the
amplifi er to the volume control. MS2SX5SC cable connects the volume
control to the speakers. Use wire nuts for the following connections.
To
prevent shorting to the back of the volume control, insulate bare
shield wires in the J-box with leftover cable jackets.
Volume Control End of the Brown Amplifi er Cable
1. Connect the MS5X5SC cable’s GREEN wire to the
SVC96 GREEN wire labeled MASTER .
2. Connect the MS5X5SC cable’s VIOLET wire to the
SVC96 VIOLET wire labeled MASTER .
3. Connect the MS5X5SC cable’s WHITE wire to the
SVC96 WHITE wire labeled MASTER .
Volume Control End of the Yellow Speaker Cables
1. Connect the two MS2SX5SC speaker cable’s SHIELD
wires to the MS5X5SC cable’s SHIELD wire.
2. Connect the left speaker’s MS2SX5SC cable’s VIOLET wire
to the SVC96 VIOLET wire labeled L SPEAKER .
3. Connect the left speaker’s MS2SX5SC cable’s BLUE wire
to the SVC96 BLUE wire labeled L SPEAKER .
4. Connect the right speaker’s MS2SX5SC cable’s VIOLET wire
to the SVC96 VIOLET wire labeled R SPEAKER .
5. Connect the right speaker’s MS2SX5SC cable’s BLUE wire
to the SVC96 BLUE wire labeled R SPEAKER .
Speaker End of the Yellow Speaker Cables
1. Connect the left speaker’s MS2SX5SC cable’s VIOLET wire
to the left speaker’s VIOLET (or BLACK ) wire.
2. Connect the left speaker’s MS2SX5SC cable’s BLUE wire to the
left speaker’s BLUE (or RED ) wire. Cut off the SHIELD wire.
3. Connect the right speaker’s MS2SX5SC cable’s VIOLET wire
to the right speaker’s VIOLET (or BLACK ) wire.
4. Connect the right speaker’s MS2SX5SC cable’s BLUE wire to the
right speaker’s BLUE (or RED ) wire. Cut off the SHIELD wire.

ONAURAL VOLUME CONTROL
& SPEAKER WIRING
Each monaural speaker is connected to the MC960PA amplifi er through
a Model MVC1 Monaural Volume Control. MS5X5SC cable connects the
amplifi er to the volume control. MS2SX5SC cable connects the volume
control to the speaker. Use wire nuts for the following connections.
NOTE: To keep the amplifi er balanced, split the total number of speakers
evenly as possible between the GREEN and VIOLET output wires.
Volume Control End of the Brown Amplifi er Cable
1A. For half of the monaural speakers (up to 10), connect the MS5X5SC cable’s GREEN
wire to the MVC1 GREEN wire labeled MASTER and cut off the cable’s VIOLET wire.
1B. For half of the monaural speakers (up to 10), connect the MS5X5SC cable’s VIOLET
wire to the MVC1 GREEN wire labeled MASTER and cut off the cable’s GREEN wire.
2. For all monaural speakers, connect the MS5X5SC cable’s
WHITE wire to the MVC1 RED wire labeled MASTER .
Volume Control End of the Yellow Speaker Cables
1. Connect the MS2SX5SC speaker cable’s SHIELD wire
to the MS5X5SC cable’s SHIELD wire.
2. Connect the MS2SX5SC cable’s VIOLET wire to the
MVC1 VIOLET wire labeled SPEAKERS .
3. Connect the MS2SX5SC cable’s BLUE wire to the
MVC1 BLUE wire labeled SPEAKERS .
Speaker End of the Yellow Speaker Cables
1. Connect the MS2SX5SC cable’s VIOLET wire to the
speaker’s VIOLET (or BLACK ) wire.
2. Connect the MS2SX5SC cable’s BLUE wire to the speaker’s
BLUE (or RED ) wire. Cut off the SHIELD wire.
