Gear Pump
General safety instructions

These safety instructions are not exhaustive. If you have questions, or
problems, please contact the manufacturer. At the time of delivery the
gear pump correspond to the level of technology and are regarded as
safe to operate.

Owing to the functioning of the gear pump, uncontrolled operation can
lead to suction and delivery pressures that damage the pump or
installation and endanger the personnel. It is therefore mandatory that
pressure--control devices including limit switches be installed at the inlet
and outlet.

The pump is lubricated by the medium pumped. Dry runs must be
avoided at all costs, because it is possible that the pump could be
damaged.
S
A too high driving torque can damage the pump. Use a suitable safety
device such an overload coupling. For the maximum allowed torque,
consult the pump specifications.

Please observe when handling with pump or flushing medium or oil, that
greases and other chemical substances follow the the safety regulations
that apply to the product concerned.
S
Always use the personal safety equipment made available to you, such
as protective glasses, ear protection, safety helmet, safety gloves and
protective clothing.
S
Depending on the heating system, be careful when handling hot
operating substances.
S
If the gear pump is passed on to a another party, the operating manual
must be transferred to the new owner.
S
Perform maintenance work at on gear pump only while the drive--unit is
shut down. Do not start working until all of rotating parts have come to a
complete standstill. Secure the drive--unit against accidental restart.
Only operate drive--unit and pump when all safety devices are in place
and operative. Do not remove these protective devices or safety
equipment.

The A--weighted acoustic power level of the pump is 70 dB (A). The
noise is basically dependent on the revolution speed and the delivered
medium.
