the speed will change by 0.1 mph. If one of the
buttons is held down, the speed will change in
increments of 0.5 mph. The speed range is 0.5
mph to 10 mph. Note: When the SPEED buttons
are pressed, the SPEED display will show the
selected speed setting for six seconds; the display
will then show the actual speed of the walking belt.

of the treadmill, press
the INCLINE buttons.
Each time one of the
buttons is pressed,
the incline  will
change by 0.5%. The
buttons can be held down to change the incline

After the INCLINE buttons are pressed, it may take
a few seconds for the treadmill to reach the selected
incline setting.

the current incline
level of the treadmill

moved. Every seven
seconds, the display
will change from one number to the other. The indi-
cators below the display will show which number is

(Do

not press too hard, or the circulation in your
thumb will be restricted, and your pulse will not
be detected.)

Next, slightly raise your thumb until

the heart-shaped indicator beside the PULSE/
CALORIES display
flashes

steadily

. The

left indicator below
the display will also
light. Hold your thumb
at this level. After 5 to
10 seconds, your
heart rate will be
displayed. Hold your thumb on the sensor for
another 15 seconds for the most accurate
measurement. If the displayed heart rate appears
to be too high or too low, or if your heart rate is not
displayed, lift your thumb off the sensor and allow
the display to reset. Press down again on the
sensor as described above. Make sure that your
thumb is positioned as shown, and that you are
applying the proper amount of pressure.

Try the pulse sensor several times until you
become familiar with it. Remember to stand still
whilst measuring your heart rate.

Stop the walking belt and remove the key.

When you are finished exercising, step onto the
foot rails and press the STOP button.

Next, change
