Please note that the following parts of this product are subject to normal or natural wear and that the
following parts are therefore also required for use as consumables,
STORAGE
Empty the oil
1.
Screw off the oil tank cap.
2.
Drain oil into a container thoroughly.
3.
Reinstall the oil tank cap.
• Store the machine, operating instructions and where necessary the accessories in the original packaging. In this way
you will always have all the information and parts ready to hand.
• Pack the device well or use the original packaging in order to avoid transit damage.
• Store the machine in dry and well ventilated surroundings and with the oil tank empty.
• Store the battery and the device separately from each other.
• Charge the battery before storing it for the winter.
• In case of longer breaks between use, always drain the chain lubricating oil from the device.
• Place the protective sheath on the cutting unit.
• Keep the device, and its plastic components in particular, always from brake fluid, products containing oil,
penetrating oil etc. They contain chemical substances that may damage or destroy the plastic parts of the device.
• Fertilizers and other garden chemicals contain substances which can have a heavily corrosive effect on metal parts.
Do not store the device close to the substances.
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING
The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in
this packaging can be reused or recycled. The equipment and its accessories are made of various types of
material, such as metal and plastic. Defective components must be disposed of as special waste. Ask your
dealer or your local council.
11. ENVIRONMENT
Should your appliance need replacement after extended use, do not dispose of it with the household
refuse, but in an environmentally safe way.
Waste produced by electrical machine items should not be handled like normal household rubbish. Please
recycle where recycle facilities exist. Check you’re your Local Authority or retailer for recycling advice.
