16.  Always connect the heater directly to a properly-grounded outlet. Never use an

extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).

17.  Do not plug the heater into a worn outlet, as doing so may cause the power cord

to become hot or distorted, resulting in overheating of the cord and causing a fire.
Replace worn outlets prior to further use of the heater.

18.  Make sure the plug is fully inserted into an appropriate outlet. Check periodically for

signs of overheating or deformations in the plug as outlets deteriorate due to aging
and continuous use. Have the damaged outlets repaired by a qualified electrician.

19.  Never clean the heater while it is plugged in. Do not immerse the heater in water.

WARNING:

It is recommended to use this heater for household or personal use only. Any
other purpose including but not limited to commercial, agricultural or outdoor
use, is not recommended by the manufacturer. Doing so may cause fire, electric
shock, personal injury or damage to property.

PET WARNING:

The health of some small pets including birds is extremely sensitive to the fumes
produced during the initial use of many appliances. Although these fumes are
not harmful to humans, it is not recommended to use the heater around birds
and small pets during its initial use.

NOTE:

•

The heater’s plug and power cord will be warm to the touch after use. This is
normal and does not affect performance in any way.

•

This heater includes an overheat protection system that shuts the
heater OFF when it gets overheated. If this happens, turn the heater OFF
immediately and inspect for any objects on or adjacent to the heater which
may cause the heater to overheat. Do not operate the heater until it is reset.
To reset the heater, turn it OFF, unplug it from the electrical outlet, and wait
for 5 to 10 minutes until the heater cools down. Once the heater has cooled
down, plug it back into the outlet and turn the heater ON.
