fails to operate.

Be sure that the appliance is
plugged in and the electrical
outlet is functioning properly.

The set temperature is
lower than the current 
room temperature.

Set the desired temperature
higher than the current 
displayed temperature.

The safety feature is 
activated to prevent 
overheating.

Check for any obstructions. 
Turn OFF the appliance and 
remove the obstruction.  
Unplug the appliance and 
allow it to cool. Plug in the 
appliance and restart it.

If the problem still exists, 
remove the plug from the 
outlet and have the appliance 
checked by an authorized 
service person.

Follow all basic precautions and instructions when using electrical appliances, to reduce 
risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons or property.
1.  Read all instructions before using this heater.
2.  Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and 

curtains at least 3' (0.9 m) from the front, rear and sides of the heater.

3.  Do not allow children to handle the heater. Extreme supervision is necessary when 

using the heater near children, bystanders or physically-challenged persons.

4.  This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory 

or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised or 
instructed on the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. 

5.  This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor 

locations. Never place the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water 
container.

6.  Do not use the heater outdoors.
7.  Do not use this heater in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or 

stored. This heater may have hot, arcing or sparking parts inside.

8.  Do not use the heater on a soft surface, such as a bed, where the ventilation openings 

may become blocked.

9.  Do not route the power cord under carpeting, furniture or appliances. Do not  

cover the cord with throw rugs or runners. Make sure the cord is kept away from 
highly travelled areas so that it will not be tripped over.

10.  Do not operate the heater if there is damage to the power cord or if the heater has 

been dropped, damaged or malfunctions. Return the heater to an authorized service 
facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.

11.  Do not leave the heater unattended.
12.  Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening of 

the heater, as these may cause electric shock, fire or damage to the heater.

13.  To prevent fire, do not block air intake and/or exhaust of the heater in any manner.
14.  Do not touch the heater while in use to avoid skin burns. 
15.  When not in use, always turn the heater OFF and unplug the power cord from the 

outlet.
