MAIN MENU

System Configuration

You will be asked to enter your access code before you can open
this menu. The code is preset to 1234 from the factory.
(The code can be changed from the Parental Control menu. Re-
fer to page 26.)

If you want to customize the system to suit you better, you can
specify some settings from the submenus in the “System Con-
figuration” menu.
Please note that many of these functions are the same as in the
“First Time Installation.”

Channel Search

In order to keep the box updated with new cable channels added
by your service provider, the cable network will be automatically
searched for new channels every night between 00:00 and 06:00.
The box must be in standby mode during this time and with the
smartcard inserted. The “All TV” and “Free TV” lists will be up-
dated.
If you are watching channels via the box during 00:00 - 06:00 the
search procedure will be done the next time the box is in standby
mode during the current time.

However, you can manually make a separate channel search at
any time from this menu. Please refer to page 15.

TV Settings

From here you can adjust settings for your TV.

TV signal

If the teletext function does not work when watching channels
from an analogue satellite receiver connected to the Media-
master, change this setting from RGB to PAL.

RF channel

Select this alternative if you have to change the RF channel.
If you change the RF channel number, you must also change it
to the same value on the TV. If you do not, the picture will become
black.

The RF channel number will be in-
dicated on the front display of the
Mediamaster.

TV screen format

Select your TV screen format.

The 4:3 format is the standard format for most TV screens.
Select 16:9 for a wide screen TV.
