Adjusting the knob's rotation resistance
The knob's rotation resistance is a result of the friction induced by a combination of a polyamide
and a felt washer, located between the knob and the encoder's face. The harder the knob pushes
against the encoder's face (towards the wooden enclosure), the bigger will be the rotation
resistance.
You can readjust the amount the knob pushes against the encoder by loosening the screw, located
at the side of the big knob. You will need a 2 mm Allen key (hexagon socket screw key) to be able
to do so. Once you have loosened up the screw, hold the knob pushed against the enclosure and
tighten the screw, in order to lock the knob in place. Pushing lightly will result in less resistance,
while pushing harder will make the rotation stiffer.
Notice that with time, the rotation of the knob will ever
become smoother.
This is a result of the
washers getting worked in, as you keep using nOb.
