nOb is able to receive simple commands for setting up the way it operates. These commands are
encoded as simple ASCII bytes. The following commands are currently (nOb Firmware v1.0)
supported:
•
ASCII character '0', encoded as 00110000: This command will bring nOb back to its default
way of operation.
•
ASCII character '1', encoded as 00110001: This command will disable any HID functionality.
nOb will then be unable to control any on-screen elements by dragging them. If the
command is received, while nOb is controlling an on-screen element, the element will be
released. This command only affects the mouse cursor controlling capabilities of nOb. The
serial interface will keep functioning.
nOb will not buffer the commands it receives. So, make sure you always wait for a response by
parsing the
State Byte
, before
sending the next command.
