Lamp off string (cont’d)

- The Voice Mail replaces the “X” with an extension
number. This way, the Voice Mail knows which
extension should have its lamp turned off. A “Lamp
Off” string must include an “X.”
G - Number of Messages in a Mailbox. (This number
appears on display phones that can show the number
of messages in the mailbox).

Access digits before callout
These are the digits that the Voice Mail must dial for an outside line
before sending out a local or long distance Message Notification call.
Enter the digits a Subscriber dials before making a local or long
distance Message Notification call. For example, if Subscribers dial 9,
then wait for dial tone, enter 9W in this field.

busy/reorder tone; otherwise, ends call.)
