Connecting the device
DO NOT
connect the camera (neither DC nor USB) when the xTex device is switched
on. This can cause serious damage to the xTex device.
•
Connect the camera USB cable.
Nikon D5200 only:
(In case the cable is not already installed)
Connect the plug of the USB cable with the female connector of the USB extension
cable.
In case the cable is not already installed:
Connect one end of the USB cable with the USB port of the camera and the other end
with the USB port of the device.
•
Connect the camera power cable.
Connect one end to the plug of the power connector and insert the special connector
to the
jack of the device’s camera power
supply.
The special connector has 4 pins and a groove at the bottom. Insert the plug fully into
the socket first, and then turn the knurled bezel clockwise.
•
Connect the USB connector cable to the PC.
Connect the end of the cable to the jack on the unit and the other end to the PC.
Connect the power cord (Inlet plug) to the power connector of the device.
The device must be connected to a grounded, easily accessible AC outlet. Do not handle the
power plug with wet hands to prevent electric shock.
