Note on Scene Auto Selector Mode
Depending upon shooting conditions, the camera may not select the desired scene mode. Should
this occur, switch to auto mode (

22) or choose the desired scene mode manually (

35).

Flash Mode in Scene Auto Selector Mode

(auto) (default setting) and
W
(off ) flash mode settings (

30) can be applied.
•
When
U
(auto) is applied, the camera automatically chooses the optimum flash mode setting
for the scene mode it has selected.

When
W
(off ) is applied, the flash does not fire, regardless of shooting conditions.

Functions Restricted in Scene Auto Selector Mode
•
Digital zoom is not available.
•
The macro mode button on the rotary multi selector cannot be used (

10, 33).

AF area mode
