2. adjusting the volume at the external audio unit
The volume of the microphone (at the internal unit) and the loudspeaker (at the external
audio unit) can be adjusted using the potentiometers on the printed circuit board of the
external audio unit (fig. 2 and 3). Rotate to the left to decrease the volume, and rotate to
the right to increase the volume.
3. Function
potentiometer for loudspeaker (volume at the external audio unit)
potentiometer for microphone (volume at the internal unit)
4. testing a bell push button
To check whether a bell push button has been properly programmed, proceed as follows:
one short tone + light relay
is switched = NOT yet
programmed
ringtone = already
programmed
briefly press the
bell push button to be tested
4. tRoUBLESHootING
1. Using a multimeter, always first check the voltage between the terminals:
Between terminals …
the following voltage must be present
b and a
+ 24 V (+ 8%)
b and P
+ 24 V (+ 8%)
2. If the problem with the unit is not solved, then go through the following list of possible
problems:
Problem
Cause
Solution
negative tone when pushing the
bell push button
programming error or
corresponding internal
unit not installed properly
delete programming and reprogram the system

P is not connected to the
external audio unit
connect P to the external audio unit (three-
wire) or connect terminals a and P (two-wire)
If the external audio unit must be replaced, the EEPROM memory of the units can be
