Chapter 21: Remote Access

This chapter will show you how to connect your DVR to the internet. You

will learn how to properly connect your DVR to your router/modem and set

up port configurations, internet configurations, Mobile configurations, and

DDNS registration.

You will need to have the following in
order to be able to successfully connect
the DVR to the internet.

•

High-speed internet connection (at least 512K of bandwidth,

download and upload speeds)

•

Router or modem with two open Ethernet ports

•

Computer with Internet Explorer 7, 8, 9, or 10

•

Ethernet cable (included with the system; see image below)

•

Second Ethernet cable to connect your computer to the

router/modem
