19.2.1 LAN Menu
The LAN Menu allows you to information about your Local Area Network
(LAN).
To access the LAN Menu, select the Information button, select Network,
and then select LAN.
•
Network Status:
Indicates whether the DVR is properly connected
to the internet.
•
IP Address(LAN):
The identification of the DVR when it is
connected to a network.
•
Subnet Mask:
This should always be set to 255.255.255.000. It
describes the range of IP addresses that can be found in the
network.
•
Default Gateway:
The connection between two networks. This
should be the router’s IP address.
•
Preferred DNS Server:
Primary Domain Name System. This will
vary from city to city.
•
Alternate DNS Server:
Secondary Domain Name System.
•
IP Address Conflict:
An IP address conflict will happen if two
devices on the same network have the same IP address.
•
IP Address (WAN):
The external IP address of the DVR.
•
Media Port:
Shows the port that you configured.
•
Web Port:
Shows the port that you configured.
