NIFTY

LIFT

GENERAL SETUP

1.  Position the truck, at the work site, as required.

2.  Apply the truck hand brake.

3.  Switch off the engine and ensure that the

ground is firm enough to take the stabiliser pad
loads or tyre loads (depending on weather the
truck is fitted with stablisers or spring lockouts).
If the ground is not suitable, re-position the
truck.

4.  Release the boom and basket tie down straps

and ensure that they cannot become entangled
with any part of the machine.

NOTE: IF TIE DOWN INTERLOCKS ARE
FITTED TO STABILISERS, TIE DOWN
STRAPS MUST BE FASTENED TO ALLOW
FUNCTION TO THE STABILISERS.

5.  Start the engine and ensure that the

transmission is in neutral.

6.  Depress the clutch pedal and engage the

power take off.

7.  The engine will run at high idle for

approximately 30 sec while the system
pressure builds up.

8.  Ensure that all emergency stops are reset.

9.  Lower the stabiliser legs or engage the spring

lockouts (depending on which is fitted).

VEHICLES FITTED WITH REAR ONLY
STABILISERS MUST HAVE BOTH REAR
WHEELS LIFTED CLEAR OF THE GROUND
PRIOR TO OPERATING THE BOOMS.
THOSE WITH 4 STABILISERS MUST HAVE
ALL WHEELS CLEAR OF THE GROUND.

MACHINES FITTED WITH SPRING
LOCKOUTS OR REAR ONLY STABILISERS,
MUST NOT BE USED ON SIDE SLOPE. IF
THE MACHINE IS TO BE OPERATED ON A
SIDE SLOPE, IT MUST BE POSITIONED SO
THAT THE VEHICLE IS FACING UP THE
SLOPE (I.E., THE CAB OF THE VEHICLE IS
AT THE UP HILL END) AND MUST BE
WITHIN 5

 OF BEING LEVEL IN ALL

DIRECTIONS.

10. Ensure that the level of the vehicle is within the

safe operating range according to the level
bubble.

11. Enter the basket.

12. Lift the top boom off its rest and then the

bottom boom, high enough so that the basket
will not strike any object on the truck if the
EWP is slewed.

13. To operate a function, move the joystick in the

direction corresponding to the desired function.

14. When stowing the machine, ensure that the

tele boom is fully retracted, that the slewing
indicator arrows on the base are lined up and
that all booms are on their rests.

15. Fasten all tie down straps and tighten.

16. Raise stabiliser legs ensuring that they are fully

retracted or disengage the spring lockouts
(depending on which is fitted).

17. Depress one of the emergency stop buttons,

either the one located on the base of the EWP
or the ones located on the rear stabiliser legs.

18. Depress the clutch and disengage the power

take off.

19. Ensure that stabiliser legs are fully retracted

prior to driving the truck.

20. For details on other controls, please refer to

the operating instructions section of this
manual.
