Patient environment
The patient environment represents a space where there is a possibility of direct contact between
the patient or the operator and third person.
When another type of device is used in the patient environment, use a device that complies with IEC
60601-1. If the devices that do not comply with IEC 60601-1 are used, it is necessary to use an
isolating transformer to power the device or to connect the devices to additional protective grounding.
