• Never use hammer to hit the belt pulleys, couplings, pinions, etc. onto the shaft end. It will damage the bearing,
housing and the shaft.
• It may be easier to assemble, if you fi rst apply lubricant to the output element or heat it up briefl y ( to 80 —100° C )
• In the case of belt pulleys, make sure that the belt is tensioned correctly in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions.
• Power transmission elements should be balanced after fi tting to prevent excessive radial and axial forces.
• While mounting the motor to the reducer with the motor adapter or mounting the shaft into hollow bore it is neces-
sary that a proper amount of lubricant is applied to the worm shaft input hole, motor shaft, driving hollow shaft and
driven shaft.
• For fl ange mount confi guration, fl ange should be assembled correctly to avoid distortions.
• For torque arm mounting, the driving hollow shaft and the driven shaft should be fi tted correctly. The torque arm
should be fi xed and locked tightly.
• When a sprocket, sheave, pulley or gear is attached to the output shaft, mount the hub away from the body of the
reducer to avoid excessive overhung load. See Figure B in chart 1.
