ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
4.1 PRELIMINARY CHECKS

All electrical connections must be made with the
system disconnected from the mains electricity and
with the back-up battery (if present) disconnected.

The connection operations must only be carried out
by qualified personnel.
f
Mount a device on the electric power line that com-
pletely disconnects the automation from the grid.

The disconnection device must have contacts with a
sufficient gap to ensure complete disconnection, under
the Category III overvoltage conditions, in accordance
with the installation instructions.
To make the electrical connections:
1.
open the gearmotor’s cover (

2.
pass the power cable and the other electrical cables
through the hole on the lower part of the gearmotor

3.
first connect the motor’s power cable with the control unit

connect the power cable (

) and lock it in place with the

5.
use the same procedure to connect the power cable to
the motor without the control unit

connect the cables of any supplementary devices, by re-

” paragraph

close the covers of the gearmotor.
