Cleaning the joints
Carry out the following procedure to clean the removed tubes.
As the final step, clean them with distilled
water and then dry them in a dryer.
Remove the collecting agent from collecting
tubes, and put the collection tubes and
joints in a plastic or glass beaker.
Add neutral detergent into the
beaker. Then wash the parts in an
ultrasonic cleaning machine or
leave to stand for about 30
minutes.
Take out and clean
the parts one by
one.
Add diluted nitric acid (1+10)
into the beaker. Then wash
the parts again in an
ultrasonic cleaning machine
or leave to stand for about 30
minutes.
