solar panels. The heating
time at full solar radiation is then 5 hours.
Maintenance
The safety valve must be checked about four times a
year. When the knob for the safety valve is turned anti-
clockwise, water should stream through the waste pipe.
If this does not happen, the valve is defective and must
be replaced.
The safety valve sometimes releases a little water after
hot water has been used. This discharge is caused by
the expansion of cold water entering the water heater,
resulting in a pressure increase, whereby the safety valve
opens.
Filling
1 Check that the safety/drainage valve (23) is
closed.
2 Open the shut-off valve (22).
3 Release air from the water heater by opening a
hot water tap. When only water comes out of
the tap this can be closed.
4 Switch the current off with the isolator switch (2).
Service
For service, contact an installation engineer. The serial
number (103), (14 digits) and installation date should
always be stated

The thermostat is adjustable between

6 Immersion heater, stainless steel:
Dealing with malfunctions
If the water has not been heated:
• Check the fuses in the fuse box.
• The temperature limiter (5) may have tripped as a
result of a fault in the water heater. Once the fault
has been remedied, the temperature limiter can be
reset, (see illustration). This must be done under the
supervision of a qualified electrician.
• Check the mixer valve (25) setting.
• Check the external solar panel.
Wait a few hours without tapping any hot water and
check whether the temperature level has risen. If there is
still no hot water, contact the installation engineer.
LEK
Draining
1. Switch off the current to the water heater by
turning the isolator switch (2) to “0”.
2. Open the shut-off valve (22) (turn anti-clockwise).
3. Open the safety valve (23) (turn the knob slowly
anticlockwise until it remains in the raised position).
4. Open some hot water taps, preferably the closest
and lowest, to let air into the system.
5. For faster drainage slacken off the vacuum valve (21)
a couple of turns. Some water will run out.
If the immersion heater is changed the rest of the
water, about a litre, will run out at the immersion heater
flange.
Draining is through the safety valve
overflow pipe.
NOTE!
All work in the junction box must
be carried out under the supervision
of a qualified electrician.
Only electrical equipment supplied
by NIBE AB in Markaryd may
be used.
NOTE!
Electrical installation
The water heater is equipped with an isolator switch (2).
Connect the supply via plinth (1).
In a 1-phase installation the water heater gives 1 kW
and a 2 phase installation gives 3 kW.
NOTE! The water heater must be filled with water be-
fore the power is switched on.
Electrical installation and any
servicing must be done under the super-
vision of a qualified electrician
