The following table contains the steps for powering up the modem for a building
installation:

Insert the Ignition Sensor Shorting Plug into the 4-prong IGNITION
jack located in the rear panel of the modem (refer to Figure 3)

Plug the AC power cord into a standard 2 prong polarized wall
socket.

The STATUS LED light will first blink Red. This indicates that the
modem is searching for a signal within in the Nextel network.

A blinking green light indicates that a signal has been found and the
modem was successful in making a connection.

The STATUS LED should be blinking Green within 3 minutes from
the time the vehicle’s ignition was turned ON.
Communication Indicators
Your
iR1200 Modem is equipped with LED indicators (located on the front panel) that
identify various communication functions.
