On-Chip Primary/Secondary PCI IDE
The system c hipset c ontains a PCI IDE interface with support for two IDE channels. Selec t Enabled to
activate the primary and/or secondary IDE interface. Select Disabled to deactivate this interface, if you
install a primary and/or secondary add-in IDE int erface.
IDE Primary/Secondary Master/Slave PIO
The four IDE PIC (Programmable Input/Output) fields let you set a PIC mode (0-1) for each of the four IDE
devices t hat the onboard IDE interface supports. Modes 0 through 4 provide succes sively inc reas ed
performance. In Auto mode, the s ystem automatically determines the best mode for each device. The
choices are: Aut o, Mode 0, Mode 1, Mode 2, Mode 3, and Mode 4.
IDE Primary/Secondary Master/Slave UDMA
Ultra DMA implementation is pos sible only if your IDE hard drive support s it and the operating environ-
ment includes a DMA driver (Windows 95 OSR2 or a third-party IDE bus mas ter driver). If your hard drive
and your system software both support Ultra DMA, select Auto to enable BIOS support. The choices are
Auto, and Disabled.
IDE HDD Block Mode
Bloc k mode is also called block t ransfer, multiple commands, or multiple sect or read/write. If your IDE
hard drive supports block mode (most new drives do), s elec t E nabled for aut omatic det ection of t he
optional number of block read/write per sector the drive c an support. The available choices are E nabled,
Disabled.

USB Controller
Select Enabled if your sys tem contains a Universal Serial B us controller and you have USB peripherals.
USB 2.0 Controller
Select Enable if your system contain a Universal Serial Bus 2.0 controller and you have USB 2.0 peripherals.
USB Keyboard Support
Select E nabled if your USB controller is enabled and it needs USB keyboard support in legacy (old) OS
operating systems such as DOS.
AC97 Audio
Selecting Auto will enable the AC’97 audio if it is detec ted onboard.
