activated
Selecting smoothing will take the
data and apply the equivalent of a
single pole low pass filter with an RC
time constant relative to the selection
mode dependent upon the speed
selected
We have selected “SLOW” smoothing
with a medium speed giving us a
sliding window of 48 seconds
Smoothing response can be set to “Auto Reset” where the instrument will reset
the filtering in response to any significant change in data
“Fixed Time” can be selected to correspond with the speed and smoothing
parameters and will override auto-reset so that the smoothing is not reset when
the frequency changes etc
