This procedure is for the Windows 7 operating system (almost similar process for
Windows 8):
•
Start Button > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center => Change adapter
settings.
•
Right Click on Local Area Connection Icon and select Properties.
•
Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties.
•
Verify Obtain an IP address automatically is selected and click "OK".
HOST Connection:
•
After connecting your PC to the HOST connector, proceed the same way but select
“Use the following IP address” in the previous screenshot.
•
Type a compatible network setting (“IP address: 192.168.0.100” and “Subnet mask:
255.255.255.0” for example, assuming the HOST IP address is still at the original
value 192.168.0.254) and click
