Unit is smoking: out of box This is not an uncommon occurrence when first
operating new units. Put unit under vent and run at
full power for one hour. Smoking is normal during
first cycle to temperature.
Contamination in chamber 1. See cleaning procedure in sections 3.4 and 7.1.
2. Develop and follow standard operating
procedure for specific application; include
definition of cleaning technique and
maintenance schedule.
Contamination in sample 1. See “Contamination in chamber” above.
2. Protect open samples from areas of maximum
air current near top center of chamber.
The incubator is designed so that no internal electrical servicing should be required under
normal conditions.
Should electrical servicing become necessary, it should be performed by qualified service
personnel.
