7.1 Cleaning
Cleaning and decontamination are recommended on a regular basis.
1. To prepare the incubator for cleaning, remove all interior parts, such as the
shelves, shelf supports and fan cover. All stainless steel parts are autoclavable.
2. First clean the chamber with soap and water, rinse it and let it dry.
3. To decontaminate, use a disinfectant that is appropriate to and effective for your
application. DO NOT USE chlorine-based bleaches or abrasives, as this will
damage the chamber interior. DO NOT USE spray cleaners that might leak
through openings and get on electrical parts or that might contain solvents that
would harm the coatings.
4. Clean the humidity pan and replenish its water on a weekly basis. Fill the stainless
steel humidity pan with distilled water only .
7.2 Maintenance
Replenish water in the water jacket as needed.
Check CO
2
supply periodically; don’t let it run out . The internal auto tank switch is
not alarmed.
WARNING!
Prior to performing any maintenance or service on this unit, turn
the power off and disconnect the power cord from the power
supply.
WARNING!
Never clean the unit while it is is connected to the electrical
supply, especially with alcohol or flammable cleaners.
Always disconnect the unit from the electrical suppply when
cleaning and assure all volatile or flammable cleaners are
evaporated/dry before you reconnect the unit to the power
supply.
