Command Line Reference
CLI notation
This manual uses standard command-line notation for SmartNA-X CLI commands.
Format
Description
Command
Command keywords (not case-sensitive).
Variable
Placeholder for which you must supply a value. If more than one variable can be
entered, angled brackets “< >” are used to differentiate placeholders.
{required-items}
Set of required items. Choose one from the list to complete the command.
[optional-items]
Optional items. Separated by ‘|’ where there are several items to choose from (choose
one item from the list).
CLI editing and command completion
The CLI uses standard keyboard controls for auto-completion of commands and line editing.
• Typing cursor L/R moves the cursor through a partially typed command
• Typing cursor U/D moves back and forth through previously typed commands
• Delete / backspace have their expected editing effects.
• Typing TAB key part-way through a word causes the word to be completed, if unambiguous.
• Typing TAB twice lists all the alternatives
