Boil-Dry Protection
Should you accidently let the kettle operate without water, the
boil-dry protection system will automatically switch the power off.
If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water
to re-boil.
Cleaning, Maintenance and Storage
•
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before
cleaning.
•
Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power base in water.
•
Wipe the body of the kettle with a damp cloth. Never use a
toxic cleaner.
•
Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to
clean the outside of the kettle.
•
When the kettle is not in use, you should store the power cord
in the storage of the base.
•
Your kettle may from limescale on the bottom of the kettle due
to mineral deposits in tap water. You can use commercially
available descaler and follow the instructions on its
packaging. Alternatively, you may do the following:
•
Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar, then add enough
water to cover the bottom of the kettle completely. Leave the
solution in the kettle overnight. The next day, discard the
mixture in the kettle, re-fill it with clean water, boil it and
discard it. Repeat this until the odour of vinegar has been
flushed away. Any stains remaining inside the spout can be
removed by rubbing with a damp cloth.
