In networks where multimedia applications generate multicast traffic, Internet Group Multicast Protocol (IGMP) snooping can greatly reduce
unnecessary bandwidth usage by limiting traffic forwarding that is otherwise broadcast to the whole network. Enabling IGMP snooping will allow
individual ports to detect IGMP snooping queries, report packets, and manage IP multicast traffic through the switch.
IGMP snooping

Enable The system will detect IGMP snooping queries, report packets, and manage IP multicast traffic through the switch
o
Disable The switch will forward traffic and disregard any IGMP snooping requests.
