Replacing Trunk Parts

• Fasten the Main Control Board.
Note! 2 screws – M4x6. See figure!
• Mount the RF Unit cover.
Carefully tighten the screws evenly.
Note! 3 screws - 2 sizes (M3x16 / M4x10). See figure!
• Replace the clamps
Note! Insert a sufficient amount of Sil pads so as to
avoid tension on the IC.

• Remove the clamps pressing the IC against the cooling plate
(Note! Save the Sil pads
• Remove the screws fastening the RF Unit cover.
Note! 3 screws - 2 sizes (M3x16 / M4x10). See figure!
• Remove the screws fastening the Main Control Board.
Note! 2 screws – M4x6. See figure!
The Main Control Board may now be replaced.

IMPORTANT!
Use wrist strap when handling the new PROM!
• Align the PROM correctly and push it carefully down into
the socket.

Replacing the DSP PROM
Tools required:
•
PLCC extractor
• Wrist strap
• Follow the instructions in steps 1 – 8 of the dismounting
procedure.
• Locate the DSP PROM
• Place the PLCC extractor diagonally over the PROM as
shown in the figure.
• Carefully pull up the PROM from the socket.
