TRASPORTATION
The machine transportation can be carried out by authorized means only. Make sure the machine engine has been turned off during
transportation.
Should the machine be lifted, use the lifting hook on the structure and a band about 1 meter long.

SAFETY DEVICE
The shredder R70 is equipped with a magnetic sensor (S pic. 1F) which avoid accidentally starting when the cutting tools are
exposed. Verify the correct functioning of the system whenever the machine is used in this way:
Start the engine up
Unscrew the magnetic knob (P pic. 3A)
If the system doesn’t correctly work, moving away the knob from the sensor will cause the turning off of the engine. Once the test is
executed, screw the knob back and start the shredder again.

USAGE INFORMATION
8.1
WORKING TIME
According to the rules about the protection against noises, shredders can only be used in predetermined time periods established by
the existing law of the country where the machine is used
.
8.2
M
ACHINE START UP
Place the bio-shredder on a dry and flat ground. Make sure that all protection guards are closed.
Connect the plug to the socket of the electric network and idle the machine.
8.3
U
SAGE
Use the machine at an ambient temperature between -15°C and 40°C.
Once the start up has been carried out wear the gloves, the protective
spectacles and protective cap. Insert leaves, branches and
other vegetable waste not wider than 50 mm in the loading hopper with the biggest end turned towards the chipping blade to ease the
shredding.
To achieve the best working and shredding conditions of the machine you have to grasp with your hands the bundle of branches,
insert it in the hopper and slightly accompany it. If possible avoid the material from being dragged too violently in order not to overload
the engine too much. Should the descent of the leaves, grass and humid material towards the cutting tools be difficult, we advise you
to alternate the shredding of these materials with the shredding of branches (not wider than 50 mm of diameter) or to just push them
with a branch (always of a diameter less than 50 mm). We strongly advise not to shred too humid materials to avoid having problems
with the discharge of the material.
If the material is not dragged by the shredding group, but a strong manual push is necessary, it means that the blade has lost its
cutting wire and that you must sharpen it or substitute it following the instructions contained in paragraph 5.2.
8.4
ACCIDENTAL CASES AND
PROCEDURE
S TO FOLLOW
The bio-shredder does not work loadless
Make sure the plug is inserted correctly in the electric network, make sure the used socket is under tension and check to have
correctly pressed the ignition switch. Check to have fully screwed the knob (P) on the loading hopper. Check that the sensor (S) is not
disconnected.

Blocking of the cutting assembly because too much material has been introduced into the machine or because of an accidental fall
of stones or metals
Turn the engine off as fast as possible and wear safety gloves. Clean the bio-
shredder as explained in the “
Maintenance
” paragraph.
Every time a blocking of the bio-shredder occurs, due to the above mentioned causes, always check the correct efficiency of the
blade.
Excessive vibrations
Excessive vibrations can be caused by an unbalance of the cutting group
.
Find out the exact cause of this problem and contact an
authorised technician for the repair.
9
MAINTENANCE
Before any check, maintenance or cleaning activity that has to be carried out at the end of every process, turn the engine off,
disconnect it from the electrical network and wear safety gloves.
The maintenance concering the protection removing must be executed by authorized workshop.

Should there be jammed material and if it is impossible to take it away by following these simple operations, you have to extract the
rotor.
Block the rotor by inserting a screwdriver in the specific holes (F) on the rotor and on the body of the machine. Remove the screw (V)
and the plate and clean well the hexagon hole to allow a better fixing of the Allen wrench.
