7  FlexZone

The FlexZone allows you to cook with both cooking
zones together or separately. It consists of four induct-
ors that work independently of each other. If the
FlexZone is in use, only the area that is covered by the
cookware is activated.

7.1 Positioning the cookware

Select the configuration type for the flexible cooking
zone depending on the type of cookware. In order to
guarantee good thermal detection and heat distribution,
we recommend positioning the cookware in the centre,
as shown in the figures.

As a single cooking zone:

¡

Position the cookware according to its diameter:

Ø

 > 13 cm.

Ø

 = < 13 cm.

¡

Recommended oblong container and its position:

As two independent cooking zones:

You can use the front and rear zones independently of
each other by setting a different power level for each
zone. In this case, only use one item of cookware on
each cooking zone.

Recommendations:

If the hob has more than one flexible cooking zone,
place the cookware so that it covers only one of the
flexible cooking zones. The cooking zones are not ac-
tivated correctly and you do not achieve a good cook-
ing result.

7.2 As a single cooking zone

By default, the FlexZone is configured as two separate
cooking zones. In order to use the connected cooking
zones, activate the FlexZone.

Switching on the FlexZone

1.

Select one of the two cooking zones and use the
corresponding touch field to set the power level.

2.

Touch  .

a

The display and the power level light up in the
FlexZone.

Adding a new item of cookware

1.

Set the new cookware down.

2.

Touch   twice.

a

The cooking zone detects new item of cookware
and the power level that was previously selected is
retained.

Notes

¡

If you move or lift the item of cookware on the active
cooking zone, the cooking zone automatically starts
searching and the power level you selected previ-
ously is retained.

¡

If you turn a control that was not previously used to
select the power level, you deactivate Flex Zone. In
this case, both cooking zones continue to function
independently of one another, with each cooking
zone operating at the previously selected heat set-
ting.

Separating the two cooking zones

Touch  .

a

The FlexZone is deactivated. The two cooking zones
now operate independently of one another.

8  Time-setting options

Your hob has various functions for setting the cooking
time:
