Maintenance intervals
Check the following components or areas regularly, at least once a year:
•
Coarse prefilters.
•
Main filter.
•
HEPA filter.
•
Drain pipe.
•
The area beneath the coarse prefilters.
7.2
Removing the filters
For the location of different parts, see Figure 3.
To remove the main filter and the HEPA filter:
1.
Switch off the fan with the lockable safety switch.
2.
Wait until the fan has stopped completely.
3.
Remove the service door, see item 5.
4.
Turn the lifting jack nut, see item 2, counter-clockwise until the filter
cassette has been lowered approximately 30 mm.
5.
Remove the filter cassette, see item 4, by pulling the straps.
NOTE!
Be careful not to damage the filter cassette. The filter cassette is
heavy, and the filter material is easily damaged.
6.
Turn the two (2) locking arms aside and remove the coarse prefilters, see
item 3.
7.
If required, clean the coarse prefilters and the main filter. If required,
change the HEPA filter.
8.
Check the area beneath the coarse prefilters and clean it, if required.
9.
Refit the parts in the opposite order, see Figure 5.
Caution! Risk of filter damage.
Do
NOT
use high washing pressure.
To clean the coarse prefilters and main filter:
Wash from above with a water-based degreasing agent. Use a max. temperature
of 60 °C for the main filter.
Let the filter dry before it is refitted, see Figure ‘4’, or alternatively, dry it by
refitting it in the NOM filter unit and running the fan until dry.
The main filter can be cleaned multiple times. However, after cleaning, the
service life of the filter may be shorter depending on its area of application.
7.3
Drain pipe
When small metal particles contaminate the oil reservoir, it is necessary to
ensure that the drain pipe will not become clogged.
7.4
Oil reservoir
Check the level in the oil reservoir and drain the oil, if required.
