4.10 Installation checklist
When the mechanical assembly and fan connection of the system is complete, it
is ready for use after double-checking the following points.
1.
Check that the suction trolley moves easy in the whole length of rail.
2.
Check the air flow (cars 400 m
3
/h, trucks 1000 m
3
/h) in the nozzle opening
with an air flow indicator. If needed, check the fan impeller rotation
direction and/or damper function.
3.
Check the disconnection procedure for extraction units with automatic
disconnection. The extraction hose should disconnect from the exhaust
pipe immediately before the station door opening.
4.
Check that the hose lifts away correctly after disconnection and that it
does not touch the station floor. When required, adjust the balancer lifting
power (see
6.2.2. Adjusting the lifting power of the balancer
).
5.
Check that the balancer brake is dis-connected 0.1–1.0 m before the
nozzle is leaving the floor and is hoisted up vertically (see
6.2.1. Checking
the braking function
).
6.
Check that the hose and the nozzle does not catch any part of the vehicle
or the station door.
