Figure 4-12-1 Test Pattern of SUCL2025T3V1
The test pattern outputs 10-bit data in the form 0, 1 , 2, 3
… 1023, 0, 1, 2 from 0 to 1023,
repeating twice, starting from pixel 0.
4.12 Automatic White Balance Function
This camera includes a convenient function to adjust the output levels of each channel
of the sensor in one go automatically. This section explains how to adjust the RGB signal
output level to your requirements.
As an example, we will show how to set the RGB levels to the 190DN (8-bit output
mode) to which the camera is factory set.
4.12.1 Note about Optical Adjustment
The automatic white balance function samples the centre 1049 pixels of the full 2098
pixel sensor to adjust the output of the front and rear channels of the CCD sensor. For
this reason, if the optical profile of this centre area is not symmetrical, a difference in
level will appear in the centre of the sensor. The optical profile should be set up to be as
bilaterally symmetrical as possible.
4.12.2 Optical Condition Setting
1. Send command
“C1” to set the pixel correction mode to factory pixel correction data.
2. Set up the lighting and exposure time so that the output level is as close as possible to
the desired level (target value, here 190DN) (RGB dotted lines in the below figure)
