3. Connecting the device
The device is intended for mounting on a wall in a vertical position without covering ventilation (leaving at least
15 cm from the bottom and the top).
• When installing, make sure the Nectar Sun device is turned off completely.
• Make sure the DC switch is off.
• Unplug the water heater and prepare it for connecting to Nectar Sun.
• Connect Nectar Sun to the water heater (see: “Connection diagram”).
• Connect the temperature sensor. In order to obtain more accurate temperature readings, we recommend
taking them in place of the existing thermometer.
• We recommend setting the water heater thermostat at the maximum temperature position.
• Connect the PV modules to the Nectar Sun controller. Strictly observe the polarity.
• Plug in the Nectar Sun device to a grounded 230V power supply.
• Turn on the DC switch.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble, install, or perform other connections when your Nectar Sun device
is disconnected from 2 power supplies.
CAUTION! If the polarity is reversed, damage to the device is unavoidable.
