Special Playback
Still Playback
Frame Advance
Slow-motion Playback, Shuttle
(By Using the Remote Control)
Press P/STILL to freeze the picture during playback. To continue normal play-
back, press PLAY.
●
When the picture is still, unstable noise bars may appear on the TV screen
and no sound will be heard. This is normal.
●
Use CURSOR ( D D / E E ) to eliminate vertical jitter.
●
If the VCR is left in pause/still mode for more than 5 minutes, the VCR will be
reset automatically to stop mode to protect the tape and the video heads.
P/STILL
During still mode, press P/STILL to advance the picture one frame at a time.
To continue normal playback, press PLAY.
During normal playback or still playback, slow-motion shuttle control can be acti-
vated by pressing CURSOR (
F F / G G ).
The playback speed will be changed as below:
-7 x play, -3 x play, -play, still, 1/19 slow, play, 2 x play, 7 x play.
To switch off slow-motion, press either of the desired function
buttons e.g. playback, search, still picture or stop.
NOTES:
●
If distortions can be seen in the picture, remove them with the CURSOR ( D D / E E ) buttons.
●
The slow-motion playback will only continue for about 30 secs, after that the video recorder will return to the normal
playback mode to avoid damage of the tape.
●
While using the special playback effects (picture/logic search or still or slow-motion playback) with the tape record-
ed in LP mode, there will be a loss of colour and there may be noise bars in the picture.
