
5-18 Troubleshooting and Repair
Removing the System Board
Follow these steps to remove the system board.
1.
Turn off system power.
2.
Unplug the Versa S and any peripheral devices connected to it.
3.
Remove the following items using the procedures provided earlier in this section:
n
keyboard
n
hard disk
n
system cover and LCD assembly
n
CMOS and bridge batteries
n
inverter circuit board.
4.
At the rear of the system, remove two screws securing the system board to the
chassis.
5.
Using needle-nose pliers, remove six nuts securing the system board to the chas-
sis.
6.
At the top of the system, remove three screws and remove the system board.
