1.3 IP-BS Installation Procedure
Note:
IP-BS is registered to Internal PHE embedded in the Telephony Server. So Internal PHE data assignment
is required to use IP-BS. About the procedure for the Internal PHE data assignment, refer to Vol.1, Chapter
2, “2. IP Related Basic Programming” in this manual. The explanation of PHs including Internal PHE is
also there.
STEP 1: Mark the locations of screw holes for installing the mounting tag. When drilling holes, the diameter
and depth should be as follows.
Diameter:

Depth: 20mm (0.8 inch)
STEP 2: Mount the mounting tab with the attached screws
STEP 3: Mount the IP-BS on the wall and slide it so that the two hooks of the tab may fix the unit tightly.
STEP 4: Remove the cover from the reverse side of the IP-BS.
STEP 5: Set SW23R to the right when the switch is equipped on the back of IP-BS.

SW23R may not be equipped depending on IP-BS. There is no difference in terms of functionality between
IP-BS with SW23R and IP-BS without SW23R.
STEP 6: Insert the hook into the slit in back of the equipment, and fix it with the screw for the IP-BS.
Mounting of the IP-BS
STEP 7: Replace the IP-BS and remove the cover from the reverse side of the IP-BS.
STEP 8: Connect the LAN cable to the RJ-45 connector.
