•
The target MV and RV must be set as a pair.
•
The MV must exist in the disk array which is under control of the self system.
•
The target MV must be already registered in the volume list.
•
The disk array that stores the specified MV and RV is not in the freeze state.
•
The activity state of the target pair is Sync State(rst/sync) or Replicate.
•
The target MV and RV volumes must be the basic volumes. Dynamic disk volumes cannot be
specified.
•
The Copy Control State of the target pair is the Foreground Copy state. To separate the pair in
the Background Copy state, you must perform Resume Copy to switch to the Foreground Copy
state.
•
Data files and log files that are included in the database exist in the target MV.
•
When specifying the -db option, there is only one database in the target MV.
•
When specifying the -dbfile option, all databases in the target MV must be specified.
•
The specified location for the metafile is not in the volume in which database data files and log
files are stored.
•
There is unused disk capacity for creating the metafile.
•
When specifying the -dbfile option, the database name must be unique.

0: Normal

This command terminates abnormally in the following cases.
•
A parameter is invalid.
•
The instruction fails due to a disk array error.
•
The instruction to the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 fails.
