Using Voyetra Sound Software 3-5
Digital Audio Transport (DAT) Module
The DAT module records sound by turning incoming
electrical signals into numbers using a circuit called an
Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) and saves it in
computer memory. To play back the sound, a Digital to
Analog Converter (DAC) changes the data back into
electrical signals that the audio equipment amplifies and
directs to the speakers or headphones. The data format
created by the DAT module is called .WAV files which is
compatible with Windows. To edit .WAV files, follow these
procedures.
1.
Click on the Playlist button to open the playlist window.
Select the file or files you want to edit. Click on Add to
add the files to the playlist and select OK.
2.
Click on the Next or Previous File buttons to access the
appropriate file.
3.
Click on the Edit button to activate WinDAT.
4.
Use the menus at the top of the screen to edit the file as
desired, then save the changed file.
MIDI Module

and saves them as .MID files. MIDI sequences are
organized series of MIDI commands. To edit MIDI files,
