Replacement of Dust Proof Filter
The service life of dust proof filter is six months (recommended) or one year (maximum).
The life time depends on usage environment. Use N8147-22 Dust proof filter for replacement.

If the server is operated for long time without replacing the filter, a noise may be
generated due to increase of fan rotation caused by clogged dust.

Refer to the chapter 3 to check the installing and removing procedure to remove the dust
proof bezel and the dust proof air duct.

Follow the steps below to replace the dust proof filter (red).
(1)
Open the cover of 3.5-inch device bay, remove the device filter frame and dust proof
filter.
(2)
Install a new dust proof filter to the 3.5-inch device bay cover, as shown in the figure
below. Confirm the position of the red mark.
