* Lift open the cosmetic toner cover which houses the Developer Station Unit.
* Unscrew the two thumbscrews which secure the Developer Station Unit to the printer. (Note: The two
thumbscrews will not unscrew completely from the Developer Station Unit).
* Once the thumbscrews have been completely loosened, grab the Developer Station Unit on the extreme left
and right hand sides. Pull the Developer Station Unit straight up and out of the printer.
* Place the Developer Station Unit in a zip lock plastic bag. This will prevent toner from spilling out onto the
printer during shipment.
* Close the cosmetic toner cover.
* Place the SilentWriter LC-800 in the original box for shipping. (Note: if the original box is no longer intact or
unavailable you may use any box as long as it provides sufficient protection to the printer).
* After placing the SilentWriter LC-800 in the box you may place the Developer Station Unit in the box either along
side or on top of the printer. (Note: make sure that the Developer Station Unit is in a sealed plastic bag).
* After these steps have been completed tape the box closed with a high quality shipping tape.
* Write the Return Material Authorization # that was issued to you from your NEC Dealer, NASC Service
Center, or Repair Depot on the box in a clearly visible location.
* If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to call the NEC Technical Support Center.
