Steps to perform when returning a SilentWriter LC-800 Series printer back to your NEC Dealer, NASC Service
Center, or NEC Repair Depot.
* Turn off the power to the printer via the main circuit breaker on the right hand side of the printer.
* Disconnect the main power cord from the rear of the printer.
* Disconnect the interface cables connected to the rear interface ports of the printer.
* Remove the center guide assembly on the second input hopper (front hopper).
* Open the top cover of the printer and remove the Optical Photoconductor Cartridge (OPC) by squeezing the
green lever on the left hand side and at the same time pull on the handle to the OPC to slide it out of the
printer.
CENTER GUIDE ASSEMBLY
* Place the OPC in its original carrying case which was supplied with the printer when it was purchased or
when a replacement OPC was purchased.
* Close the top cover of the printer.
* Remove the sheet guide from the output hopper.
* Place the power cord, interface cables, center guide assembly, OPC, and the sheet guide in a safe place
because it is not necessary to ship these items back with the printer.
