Chapter 2 Preparations

2x 2.5-inch Rear Drive Riser Card N8154-95/98
The unit can be added with a 2x 2.5-inch drive cage on its rear side. When installing a rear drive cage, the 12x
3.5-inch drive or the 24x 2.5-inch drive must be fully installed in the front bay.
Installing Primary/Secondary Riser Drive Cage (N8154-98)
Important To prevent personal injury, electrical shock or equipment damage, unplug the
power cord and ensure no power is supplied to the server. You cannot turn
off the system power supply completely by the power button on the front
panel. Until the AC power cord is unplugged, the power supply circuit is still
active in some parts of the machine.
Please prepare the following before installing the options.

High performance fans should be installed on all the fan bays.
To install the components, follow these steps.

Back up all data in the server.
